Our small, happy school is a caring and nurturing family at the heart of its village community, nestled in the hills of the beautiful Derbyshire Dales.  It is a place of warmth and care for our families, our staff, our governors, our neighbours and, most importantly of all, for our wonderful children. 

Our small size enables us to know and celebrate each child as an individual, whilst journeying through life together as one big family.  We are a forward-looking school that builds on strong traditions.  Our unique atmosphere, along with our broad, rich curriculum means children leave Kirk Ireton School as confident, independent learners and kind, caring, good people.
